Dr. Hong Nguyen is a board-certified dermatologist with over a decade of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California before completing medical school at UCLA and her dermatology residency at UC Irvine, building a strong foundation in comprehensive, evidence-based skin care.

Dr. Nguyen has been caring for patients in the Long Beach community for nearly a decade and is proud to continue that commitment at Modern Dermatology. She has particular interests in skin cancer detection and treatment, acne, rosacea, and complex rashes. Known for her detail-oriented and collaborative approach, she works closely with each patient to create personalized treatment plans that support both immediate concerns and long-term skin health.

In cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Nguyen is committed to natural, refined results that enhance but never overpower one’s features. Her philosophy embraces graceful aging, focusing on subtle rejuvenation, balance, and treatments that preserve each patient’s unique beauty over time.

Raised in Hawaii, she brings the warmth of the aloha spirit into her practice, treating every patient like family. Outside the office, she enjoys photography, travel, interior design, exploring global cuisine, and spending meaningful time with her husband and two sons.
